Refund and Cancellation Policy

How refunds and cancellations are handled at different stages of engagement.

Plain-language operational policy.

This page is not legal advice and is not a claim of final professional review or statutory compliance. This policy requires final professional review before public payment launch.

How This Works

Refund and cancellation treatment depends on the stage of engagement and work performed. Stages are listed below with different treatment at each stage.

Service Stages

Stage 1: Request Received

Your form has been submitted but no payment has been made and no acceptance decision has been communicated.

Refund/Cancellation: Not applicable. No payment collected.

Stage 2: Request Accepted in Writing

Klondike Revival has sent written confirmation of accepted scope, pricing, and timeline. Payment has not yet been requested or received.

Refund/Cancellation: You may cancel the engagement. No payment is due. Klondike Revival may decline to proceed.

Stage 3: Payment Received

A deposit or initial payment has been received. No substantive work has begun.

Refund/Cancellation: Full or partial refund may apply, depending on cancellation timing and any approved preparatory costs. Cancellation must be requested in writing.

Stage 4: Substantive Work Started

Klondike Revival has begun work (research, document review, correspondence, etc.) or assigned significant resources to the engagement.

Refund/Cancellation: Refund may be partial, reflecting work completed and time expended. No refund for work completed in accordance with the accepted scope.

Stage 5: Approved Third-Party Costs Incurred

Approved costs (registry fees, professional referrals, travel) have been paid to third parties that cannot be recovered.

Refund/Cancellation: Third-party costs are not refundable unless the cancellation is due to Klondike Revival's error.

Stage 6: Partial Work Completed

A portion of the work (research phase, document review, preliminary findings) has been completed and delivered or made available.

Refund/Cancellation: Refund is not available for completed work. You may cancel remaining work; any advance payment is credited toward completed work, and remaining balance is refunded minus work completed.

Stage 7: Final Deliverable Provided

Final report, findings, or deliverable has been provided. Work is complete. Any outstanding balance has been paid or is due.

Refund/Cancellation: No refund available. Final payment is due if not yet received.

Paused Services (Firewood, Mobile Mechanic)

Preliminary forms for paused services (Firewood, Mobile Mechanic) collect no payment. They are non-binding availability requests or preliminary intake only. No refund policy applies because no payment is collected.

Free Membership Waitlist

Membership is a free, no-payment interest waitlist. No refund or cancellation policy applies because no payment is collected.

How to Request a Refund or Cancellation

To request a refund or cancel a service engagement:

  1. Send a written cancellation request to ron@KlondikeRevival.com
  2. Include your full name, the service requested, and the reason for cancellation
  3. State the current stage of engagement (received, accepted, payment received, work started, etc.)
  4. A cancellation decision will be provided within a reasonable timeframe

Automatic Refunds Are Not Promised

This policy does not promise automatic refunds or refunds in all situations. Refund availability and amounts depend on the stage of engagement and work performed. Work completed in accordance with the accepted scope is not refundable.

Non-Excludable Rights

Nothing in this policy waives or limits consumer protection rights, statutory refund rights, or remedies that cannot lawfully be waived or limited.
